In this video interview, Daniel Broukhim, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of FabFitFun, shares his journey from a Persian Jewish background, through law school, to becoming an entrepreneur. This path led to the creation of FabFitFun, a consumer products brand and shopping club. Broukhim compares life to the game of backgammon, both are unpredictable and you need to be adaptable and resilient.
He talks about the transition from running a digital agency to FabFitFun, and the strategic pivot to a subscription box model specifically for women. This model later evolved to include full sized products at a fraction of the cost to consumers and brands and was a game changer. Broukhim shares the challenges of entrepreneurship and the importance of persistence and what he learned from his early and repeated attempts.
He also opens up about how his cancer diagnosis impacted his personal and professional life. He shares the lessons he learned from that experience and the importance of happiness, nurturing relationships and finding multiple sources of meaning in life.
