The Southern Section Southeast Division championship game between third-seeded Fullerton (9-3) and undefeated La Habra (12-0) will be played 7 p.m. at Santa Ana Stadium.
It had previously been announced the game would be played at Cal State Fullerton
According to this article in the Register, as the host school, Fullerton -- or more specifically its principal -- was concerned about a clause in the contract with CSUF regarding liability for field damage up to $25,000.
That apparently could include grinding up the sod when playing in the rain, or perhaps celebratory fans rushing the field and tearing down the goal posts; however, I don’t think that will happen.
If the Indians do post an upset, I’m not saying it won’t happen.
