Rexhall Industries Inc. said it had a second quarter profit of $311,000, up from the $46,000 it earned in the same period last year.
The Saugus-based maker of recreational vehicles rebounded from a lackluster 1992, when second-quarter profits plunged 81%. Rexhall attributed the turnaround to an expanded dealer network and sales from two new motor home models. Revenue for the quarter ending June 30 rose 89% to $7.4 million from $3.9 million.
For the first half of the year, Rexhall earned $448,000, compared to a loss of $125,000 a year before. Revenue rose 72% to $13.2 million from $7.7 million.
