Orange Coast College is giving away tickets for a performance next month by the 15th Air Force Band of the Golden West.
The band, headquartered at March Air Force Base in Riverside County, will play Sept. 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the community college’s recently remodeled Robert B. Moore Theatre.
Although admission is free, tickets are required and must be picked up in person.
The tickets may be obtained at the Orange Coast College Community Services Office, at 2701 Fairview Road.
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
The 15th Air Force Band of the Golden West was created 52 years ago and has given command performance concerts for the President and vice president.
The band’s repertoire includes pops, marches, classics and show tunes. A favorite is “Olympic Fanfare and Theme,” written by the band’s most famous former member, conductor and composer John Williams.
