Collision Kills Mother and 4-Year-Old Daughter

A 26-year-old Port Hueneme woman and her 4-year-old daughter were killed when the woman’s station wagon collided with a sport utility vehicle near Camarillo early Thursday.
Georgina Karpowich was dead when CHP officers arrived at the scene just before 6 a.m. Her daughter, Brittany Karpowich, died Thursday evening. Karpowich’s 2-year-old son was in serious condition.
The driver of the SUV was not injured. Authorities are still trying to determine who was at fault.
