A judge has sentenced a Brooklyn man to 21 months in prison--triple the expected term--for giving the FBI a false tip linking his fiancee’s boss of Arab descent to the World Trade Center attack.

Jack Barresi, 38, pleaded guilty in November to lying to a federal officer. Before he was sentenced, Barresi apologized in court and said he was “ashamed and embarrassed” for what he had done.
