Minibus Hits Crane, Killing 19, Injuring 5

A minibus crashed into a construction crane in Iran, killing 19 people and injuring five, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
The accident occurred Friday night just north of the city of Damghan, about 160 miles east of the capital, Tehran, the agency reported.
Iran has one of the highest road accident rates in the world, which experts blame on unsafe vehicles, disregard for regulations and insufficient emergency services.
