Entergy Expects Profit to Exceed Estimates

Entergy Corp. said its fourth-quarter profit would exceed by about 20% the average analysts’ estimate of 13 cents a share because of increased revenue from the power company’s nuclear plants in New York.
The New Orleans-based company said its operating profit for the full year 2001 would be slightly above a previous forecast of $3.10 to $3.20. Analysts were expecting $3.16.
Shares of Entergy rose 6 cents to $39.37 on the NYSE.
