A federal magistrate set $350,000 bail Tuesday for a Southwest Airlines passenger accused of opening an airplane door and then striking a flight attendant as the jetliner was taxiing out of a gate at Los Angeles International Airport. An FBI spokesman said David Michael Boone, 36, of New Orleans was apparently intoxicated aboard the Las Vegas-bound flight Monday.
Boone was charged with interfering with a flight crew, a federal offense that carries a maximum 20-year prison term.
