RECRUITING BUZZ

Several members of Huntington Beach Edison’s Southern Section Division I finalist football team could be getting jet lag from all the recruiting trips they’ll be taking in the next month.
Defensive back Marcus McCutcheon has visited Oregon and still has trips to Michigan, Colorado and Arizona State. Defensive back A.J. Martinez has trips to Oregon State, San Diego State and Hawaii. Receiver Denny Flanagan has visited Nevada and is considering trips to UCLA, San Diego State, Hawaii and Montana State.
Offensive tackle Ryan Keating has trips to Boise State and New Mexico. Running back Chucky Linman committed to Fresno State.
Quarterback Tommy Grady, perhaps the most talented Edison player, is only a junior. But word is that UCLA plans to offer him a scholarship shortly after the Feb. 6 signing day. Of course, there will be many other scholarship offers for the 6-foot-6 Grady before he’s eligible to sign in 2003....
Receiver Kenny Patton of La Canada St. Francis has committed to Hawaii....
Kicker Nick Folk of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame is visiting Arizona this weekend and is expected to commit....
Defensive back Jaron Fairman of West Covina South Hills has committed to Fresno State.
