Agency Chiefs Told to Resolve Disputes

Ventura County supervisors Tuesday urged mental health and probation agency chiefs to work together to ensure juvenile offenders are getting needed mental health counseling.
Supervisors asked County Executive Officer Johnny Johnston to report back in coming weeks on steps being taken to resolve inter-agency battles that have slowed needed services.
“I haven’t got the time to figure out the bureaucratic reasons why this is happening,” Superior Court Judge John Dobroth said. “We just need to make it work.”
