City Council Coming to Kodak Theatre

Continuing its efforts to reach out to areas threatening secession, the Los Angeles City Council agreed Tuesday to hold its Jan. 22 meeting at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
Hollywood is one of three areas of the city that have petitioned for a secession study. Last month, the council met in Wilmington, another area threatening to break away.
Councilman Eric Garcetti, who represents Hollywood, said the meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m., will allow residents better access to the council while showcasing the new theater at 6801 Hollywood Blvd.
