The Bum’s Rush in Yorba Linda

Re “Yorba Linda’s Old Town: New Visibility in Store,” Jan. 14:
Jerry Hicks’ article was informative and explored opposing views on this issue. I agree Old Town needs renovation, but forcing out the current owners or businessmen through an eminent domain proceeding is particularly heinous.
The City Council needs to remember that these are families faced with the prospect of losing their livelihood and should be shown the benefit of exemplary leadership combined with financial and ethical considerations.
