Investment Scam Leader Sentenced to 51 Months

Robert Corsaut, the ringleader of a $4.5-million investment scam, was sentenced to 51 months in prison.
Corsaut appeared before U.S. District Judge Anthony W. Ishii and admitted that he made a mistake and lied to people who trusted him with their money.
Corsaut, 57, earlier pleaded guilty to five of eight counts in a federal indictment charging him with fraud and money laundering.
Corsaut was living in Mission Viejo when arrested by FBI agents.
