Philippine police filed murder charges against several suspects in a bombing that killed a U.S. Green Beret and three Filipinos last month, officials said.
Sgt. 1st Class Mark Wayne Jackson, 40, of Michigan, had been helping to train Philippine troops.
The charges were leveled against five people who were identified and a number of others who were not named, Police Supt. Marvin Bolabola said. Two are in police custody, and both are suspected members of Abu Sayyaf, a Muslim rebel group linked to Al Qaeda.
