Prosecutor General, Justice Minister Resign

South Korea’s prosecutor general, Lee Myung Jae, and Justice Minister Kim Jung Kil resigned over the death in police custody of a murder suspect, a presidential spokeswoman said.
The two officials resigned to take responsibility for the suspected beating death of suspect Cho Choen Hun, spokeswoman Park Sun Sook told reporters.
Cho, 32, collapsed Oct. 26 at Seoul’s prosecutor’s office after being interrogated about several slayings. He died eight hours later in a hospital from bleeding resulting from external blows.
