Tens of Thousands Mark 1917 Revolution

Tens of thousands of Communists and other hard-liners marched in cities across Russia to mark the anniversary of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, now called the Day of Accord and Reconciliation.
About 100 veterans of the 1941 parade -- when the Soviets defiantly celebrated Revolution Day with Nazi forces just 30 miles from Moscow -- placed flowers and wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Then they marched around Red Square, clutching red carnations.
