Tyler Kastorff and Monika Rothenberger, Dana Point Dana Hills: Kastorff finished first in the boys’ race of the South Coast League finals in 15:12 and Rothenberger won the girls’ race in 18:16 to lead their teams to titles Thursday at Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Julie Poltrack, Hesperia Sultana: Poltrack, an exchange student from Germany, defeated Claire Grenfell of Lake Arrowhead Rim of the World, 6-1, 6-1, to win the singles title of the Mojave River League finals.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Nancy Marin, Cerritos Gahr: Had 41 kills to lead the Gladiators (14-8) to a 4-15, 15-5, 15-13, 15-3 victory over North Torrance.
BOYS’ WATER POLO
Grant Miller, La Verne Damien: Had five goals and four assists to lead the Spartans (25-2) to a 12-7 victory over Palm Desert (23-3).
