Today is Veterans Day. The following services will be affected:
Schools: Most schools closed.

Trash pickup -- A box in the Ventura County Edition listing holiday closures erred in saying all garbage services in the county would be delayed a day because of Veterans Day. Pickups by G.I. Rubbish, Moorpark Rubbish and Consolidated Disposal Services are on their regular schedules this week.
Mail: All post offices are closed; no mail delivery.
Government: All county government offices will be open. The Superior Court and all city offices in the county are closed.
Business: All banks, stock and commodity exchanges and credit unions are closed. Many businesses will also be shut.
Libraries: All libraries will be open except those in Oxnard.
Transportation: Metrolink, SCAT, VISTA, Thousand Oaks Transit, Simi Valley Transit, Moorpark Transit, Camarillo City Bus Line and Ventura Country Transit will operate regular schedules.
Trash: Trash pickup will be delayed one day throughout the week.
