Woman Leaps to Flee Fire, Is Badly Burned

A 20-year-old woman who jumped from the second story of her Anaheim apartment building to escape a fire early Monday was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange in critical condition with major burns.
The woman, whose name was not released, leaped from her window in the 1800 block of West Glencrest Avenue about 5:15 a.m., said Maria Sabol, a spokeswoman for the Anaheim Fire Department.
Paramedics found the woman on the sidewalk, Sabol said.
The blaze was put out in 13 minutes.
