Man Arrested After Fleeing Fatal Car Crash

Police arrested a 24-year-old suspected drunk driver Sunday in Northridge after he crashed his speeding minivan into a light pole, killing his passenger, authorities said.
The unidentified man fled the accident scene on the corner of Parthenia Street and Reseda Boulevard, but was later apprehended and booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, said LAPD Officer Eric Hermann of the Valley Traffic Division.
The victim was not identified Sunday, but was believed to be between the age of 25 and 30.
