Lab Lost $3 Million in Property, Paper Says

Nearly $3 million worth of items at the Los Alamos National Laboratory disappeared or were reported missing over a three-year period, according to an internal report obtained by the Albuquerque Journal.
The report outlined missing items ranging from computers to a forklift that disappeared between 1999 and 2001.
Other memos show attempts to use government credit cards for unauthorized expenses. A House committee is investigating allegations that employees illegally used credit cards from the nuclear laboratory.
