I wasn’t shocked to see the Nov. 16 article, “5 Held in Vandalism of Freeway Murals” -- after all, graffiti and Los Angeles seem to go hand in hand. I was, however, angered to read that the taggers had obtained free paint from a European company after agreeing to advertise the company’s name in the damage these vandals created. This European company paid for the paint and aided the vandals in creating this urban destruction. I say Los Angeles should also bill the same company for the more than $1 million in damage done. Or at least foot the bill to send the vandals overseas to duplicate the damage done here.
