EDS Says It Is Target of Informal SEC Inquiry

Computer services giant Electronic Data Systems Corp. said it was cooperating with federal regulators in an informal inquiry related to its use of a stock-hedging strategy that went wrong and events related to its recent profit warning.
Plano, Texas-based EDS said it had received a request for its voluntary cooperation from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Shares in EDS, which had gained almost 8% in regular trading to close at $15.09 on the New York Stock Exchange, slipped to $14.30 in after-hours trading.
