A Ventura woman convicted 13 years ago of driving drunk and killing three people has been accused of violating her probation by allegedly consuming alcohol again, authorities said Tuesday.
Diane Mannes, 48, is scheduled to appear in court today to either admit or deny that she had been drinking on Sept. 5 at a friend’s house in the 1200 block of Anchor’s Way in Ventura, according to authorities.
Mannes could face up to 180 days in jail, authorities said. If she denies the accusation, a hearing will be scheduled.
She remained in jail Tuesday night on $10,000 bail.
Mannes was convicted two years ago of driving drunk and public intoxication.
As a term of her probation, she was ordered not to consume any alcohol for three years.
In 1989, Mannes was convicted of driving drunk on the Ventura Freeway and causing a crash that killed Darin Mullins, 20, Joshua Oxenreider, 19, and Jacob Boyd, 14. She served about four years in prison.
