Latino Voters Not of Single Mind, Poll Finds

A majority of Latino voters identify as Democrats, but they show significant ambivalence toward the party, suggesting a growing electorate that may be up for grabs, according to a national survey of 1,329 registered Latino voters by the Pew Hispanic Center and the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Latino voters have more confidence in Democrats than Republicans when it comes to the economy, by a margin of 53% to 27%. But four in 10 say there is no difference between the major political parties. Those surveyed also demonstrated that Latino voters are unpredictable when it comes to core beliefs associated with conservatives and liberals.
