Man Gets 58 Months in Prison for Bomb Plot

A man who plotted to bomb electrical power substations and a National Guard armory in South Florida was sentenced to four years and 10 months in prison by a federal judge in Fort Lauderdale, officials said.
Shueyb Mossa Jokhan, 24, had pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to damage and destroy property by means of fire and explosives. Prosecutors had said he and a co-defendant in the case, Imran Mandhai, were plotting missions as part of what they saw as an Islamic holy war.
Mandhai pleaded guilty to the same conspiracy charge and is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 17.
