The City Council tonight is expected to approve a master plan for a $15-million makeover of College Park.
If approved, one of the farmhouses used by a drug and treatment facility would be converted into a museum dedicated to the county’s agricultural history.
Officials at the Rainbow Recovery Center, which has treated women in Oxnard for 17 years, have protested their forced relocation, saying it will be difficult to find a new site. In the past several weeks, city officials have been working to find another site for the center. If the master plan is approved, the Rainbow Recovery Center must move by January 2004, city officials said.
