Republican congressional candidate Jeff Chavez, who dropped out of the race against Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove) shortly after the March primary, is back in.
Chavez said an unexplained family situation that precipitated his decision in March was resolved more quickly than expected. He said his campaign will send mail to voters in the district this month.

Chavez dismayed local Republican leaders when he announced shortly after winning the primary that he wouldn’t campaign. He is president of a company that manufactures apparel accessories.
