Re “Lopez Recall Effort Qualifies for Ballot,” Sept. 27:
The one educational poverty program that has produced mostly all negative results is bilingual education.
The fast-multiplying cost of continuing this farce has lined the pockets of its advocates and cheated an uncountable number of Latino youth from being able to fully enjoy the vast amount of opportunities America has to offer.
The four mothers of Latino children attending Santa Ana schools who were the driving force behind the recall of Nativo Lopez, a member of the Santa Ana school board, are Democrats.
They just got tired of the strong-arm methods he used to force their children into bilingual education programs.
