An LAPD squad car was set aflame, and two other police cars were vandalized early Saturday morning, officers said.
In the first incident, someone poured a flammable liquid onto a squad car parked outside the 77th Street Station at 7600 S. Broadway and ignited it, an LAPD spokesman said. Firefighters doused the flames.
Minutes later, police discovered a “caustic liquid” on the front of two squad cars parked outside the Southwest Station at 156 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. after witnesses reported seeing someone near the cars.
The damaged squad cars were being tested to identify the substances.
