Planning makes most of vacation

Thank you for “The Best Vacations Start With a Great Itinerary, Whether on a Tour or Alone” (Her World, Sept. 29).
I am a serious travel planner. Although some of my friends and family think I over-plan vacations, I find the trips much more enjoyable when I do plan.
Planning does not mean you need to be trapped in a minute-by-minute agenda. Rather it allows you to take full advantage of your travel time.
