Pfizer Profit Rises 13% on Lipitor Sales

Pfizer Inc.’s third-quarter profit climbed 13% as the world’s largest drug maker sold more of the cholesterol medicine Lipitor and the epilepsy treatment Neurontin.
Net income rose to $2.35 billion, or 38 cents a share, from $2.07 billion, or 33 cents, in the year-earlier period. Revenue at the New York-based company increased 12% to $8.73 billion.
Shares of Pfizer rose 12 cents to $31.91 on the NYSE.
