Ex-Spy Chief’s Motion Delays His Trial

Peru has delayed indefinitely the first public trial of Vladimiro Montesinos, which had been due to start Wednesday, after the former spy chief filed a motion aimed at removing the judges, a judicial spokeswoman said.
She said that it was not clear how long it would take to decide the motion and that no new date had been set for the trial on charges of influence peddling.
