12 Get Bail in Slaying of Marine; 6 Still Held

Kuwaiti authorities released 12 people on bail who had been detained in connection with a shooting that killed a U.S. Marine, a defense lawyer said.
Lawyer Najib Wugayyan said the five Bangladeshis and seven Kuwaitis had been questioned as suspected accomplices in the Oct. 8 shooting.
Kuwaiti officials confirmed that some suspects had been released, but they refused to elaborate. Six Kuwaitis still in custody could face such charges as joining a hostile organization or having prior knowledge of the crime, Wugayyan said.
