Railroad Ties Piled Near Metrolink Tracks Burn

About 65 firefighters spent much of Wednesday morning dousing a large pile of railroad ties that caught fire next to Metrolink tracks.
The blaze started about 4:15 a.m. in a storage yard in the 13800 block of Saticoy Street, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said. The cause was not known.
