Birkenstock USA Now Employee-Owned

The U.S. affiliate of German shoemaker Birkenstock said it has become fully employee-owned. The final transfer of company shares from Birkenstock USA’s founder, Margot Fraser, came via an employee stock ownership plan.
The affiliate employs about 240 people, mostly in Novato, Calif.
