Airport Roof May Have Weakened, Report Says

The Paris airport terminal collapse that killed four people in May might have been caused by a weakness in the concrete that formed the building’s vaulted roof, an official report says. In the collapse, metal struts pierced the roof, the report says, but experts don’t yet know why.
Jean Berthier, president of the commission investigating the collapse at Charles de Gaulle Airport, said temperature differences inside and outside the terminal might have broken down the concrete.
