Store Run by Lay’s Wife Is Shuttered

HOUSTON — The secondhand furniture store run by the wife of former Enron Corp. Chief Executive Kenneth L. Lay has shut its doors -- at least for now -- while the once-highflying couple seek to sell the property.
Linda Lay opened the store Jus’ Stuff near downtown Houston in April 2002, offering antiques and high-end furniture the Lays and their friends no longer wanted.
The store has closed for the summer, and local media reported Linda Lay had solicited bids on the property, which is owned by the Lays’ real estate company.
A spokeswoman for the Lays confirmed that a prospective buyer had shown interest, but declined to comment further.
