Worldwide, some of the top movies of 2004 look much better than they did domestically. Of these, “Troy” made the biggest chunk of its box office -- 72% -- in foreign markets, followed by “The Day After Tomorrow” at about 65%. Of the major movies released around the globe to date, only “The Passion of the Christ” and, so far, “Shrek 2” have taken in more domestically than internationally. “Spider-Man 2” has been out fewer than 10 days and outside the U.S. it’s in only a few markets. Figures in millions of dollars, tallied after close of business Wednesday.
