Reputed Cartel Leader Captured in Cuba

Luis Hernando Gomez Bustamante, a leader of a Colombian drug cartel that is suspected of smuggling more than $10 billion worth of cocaine into the U.S., has been captured in Cuba, Colombia’s police chief said.
Cuba informed Colombian authorities that Bustamante was detained July 2 after entering the country on a false Venezuelan passport, Gen. Jorge Daniel Castro said. Bustamante is a leader of the Norte del Valle cartel, which is the source of as much as 60% of the U.S. cocaine supply, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
