Street Attack Leaves1 Dead, 1 Wounded

A driver was fatally wounded and his passenger injured in a pre-dawn shooting Thursday outside a Garden Grove beauty school, police said.
Officers found the victims in a car stopped at the curb on Westminster Avenue near Brookhurst Street at 1:45 a.m., said Sgt. Scott Watson. The driver had been shot in the neck and later died at a hospital, Watson said. The other man was shot in the leg and is expected to recover. Neither had been identified.
