Man Found Dead in Simi Valley Is Identified

The body of a homeless man found behind a Simi Valley shopping center this week has been identified, authorities said Thursday.
Gary Allen Spagnola, 53, a transient, was found dead Monday behind Sycamore Plaza on Cochran Street, authorities said. The cause of death was liver disease, coroner’s officials said.
Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was found in the hills at the north end of Tapo Street in Simi Valley on Tuesday. The cause of death is unknown.
No identification or other information was available about the man.
