Showing no signs of slowing down at age 11, Ganster will try for his 24th lifetime victory in tonight’s seventh, an $8,000 claimer at 350 yards.
A California-bred son of Chicks Beduino, Ganster, a gray gelding, has won two in a row and was re-claimed by owner-trainer Paul Jones for $5,000 out of his latest victory on June 19.
Ridden by Hector Cuevas in all five of his starts in 2004, which includes three victories, Ganster, who has earned over $251,000 in his career, will be handled tonight by Ramon Sanchez.
Others entered the race: Nora Gvl, Dicey Sis, Raise A Brewski, Jjs Dashing, Hes Ready To Rumble, Blues Dasher and Metamorphosis.
Like Ganster, Jjs Dashing was claimed out of his last start, a victory against $5,000 claimers at Grants Pass on May 31.
The son of Pritzi Dash will be debuting for owner Jimmie Easter and trainer James Glenn Jr.
