Prices at Gasoline Stations Decline

Retail gasoline prices in California fell for the eighth straight week, slipping 2.4 cents to an average of $2.162 for a gallon of self-serve regular gas, a federal survey found.
Nationwide, the average price declined 2.3 cents to $1.905 a gallon, according to the weekly report by the Energy Information Administration.
However, average diesel prices rose in the last week, up 1.1 cents to $2.107 a gallon in California and up 1 cent to $1.754 a gallon nationwide.
