2 Boys Won’t Be Tried in Alleged Plot to Hurt Girl

A judge in Billings dismissed charges against two 8-year-old boys accused of plotting to use a knife and gun to hurt a girl who teased and kicked one of them.
Judge Joe L. Hegel said a psychiatrist’s evaluation showed the boys were not able to stand trial. The psychiatrist cited their age and lack of ability to consult with their attorneys or understand the court proceedings.
