Man Jailed After Body of Girlfriend Found in Car

A Vallejo man who allegedly threatened to harm his girlfriend was arrested after police spotted him driving her car and found her body in it, authorities said.
On Wednesday the Contra Costa County coroner’s office confirmed the body was that of Alicia Loza, 27. The cause of death had not been determined.
On Tuesday, one of Loza’s relatives saw Aukusitino Afamasaga in her car and confronted him because Loza had not been seen since Friday and had not shown up for work, authorities said. The relative saw a woman’s arm and shoulder under a pile of clothing in the rear of the car, police said.
Relatives told police that Afamasaga had recently threatened to harm Loza.
