A 16-year-old Simi Valley boy was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly firing several shots at three youths, police said.
The boy was arrested about 1:30 p.m. after an officer saw him in the middle of the 2200 block of Goddard Avenue shooting at two fleeing teens, Simi Valley police said. The boy’s name was not released because he is a minor.
The incident began when two 15-year-old girls were visiting a 15-year-old boy in a bedroom at his home on Goddard, police said. The suspect, armed with a handgun, suddenly appeared in the bedroom doorway and began threatening them, police said.
He fired two shots in the bedroom, authorities said, and then allowed one of the girls to leave.
A short time later, the two other teens fled the home, running south on Goddard, police said. The suspect followed and allegedly opened fire on them.
No one was injured, police said. The suspect is being held at Juvenile Hall.
