Mystical and Middle Eastern
Composer Yuval Ron will bring his ensemble to the hilltop courtyard at Brandeis-Bardin Institute for an installment of the “Under the Stars” concert series. The L.A.-based multiethnic assemblage will present its program “The Mystical Music of the Middle East,” exploring musical traditions of Judaism, Sufism and the Christian Armenian Church. The suite of works emphasizes the intercultural ties linking the three traditions, which Ron will also discuss. Other highlights include a trio of dancers demonstrating Middle Eastern styles and Armenian master Norik Manoukian on woodwinds.
