Re “Paying More for a Gallon -- of Milk,” April 30: Gas, water, electricity and, now, milk. Funny how they always seem to find a reason to raise the prices on the things we use most. Dairy-cow deficit, drought and shortages of genetically engineered growth hormone are reasons given. Oh, that, and of course, the “pizza factor.”
Puh-leeze. The government subsidizes almost every other farm product; can’t it help the dairy farmer now? That is, without setting new higher minimums that are passed on to the consumer?
